Anyway, you
may remember me recovering the Wedding of River Song, spoiler alert: it sucked.
But immediately following that was another Doctor Who Christmas special,
written by the Grand Moffat himself. Can he redeem the franchise after his last
abysmal effort? You already know which review type I’m doing, so you already
know the answer to that, let’s dig in

#68 - Doctor Who - The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe
It’s January
so time for a Doctor Who review, only the one this year, I’m not covering the
New Year’s special. I try and do reviews 2 months in advance and that would
completely put me off schedule, maybe next year.

Guilty Pleasures #36 - Time Month - Day of the Doctor
Note: The Bulk of this review was written shortly before the passing of John Hurt. I have made minor alterations since but my opinion of this special is unchanged
It’s time
Month!
And I’m
still not recovered from Time Shifter’s awfulness I need something half decent
to review.
Of course!
Doctor Who is staple when it comes to time travel and the like, so tackling something
like Doctor Who is an inevitable part of the month. And where Steven Moffat
tends to excel is using time tricks in writing episodes, rather than just using
the ability of time travel to have an episode set anywhere and any when.
Day of the
Doctor uses a couple of those time tricks, it was also a special that
celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, so it’s worth taking
a look.

#15 Doctor Who: The Wedding of River Song
Happy 2015
everyone, I know it’s been 3 months, but we’re back and to be honest, after
raging about the Last Airbender for 6000 words, I was glad of the break. Let’s
see what we’ve got for the return…
For those of
you who have read my previous Doctor Who reviews know I have a sort of
love/hate relationship with the show. There are episodes I love, and those I
hate, like Robots of Sherwood and this episode.
