The Flash Episodes 3-4 review - Things you can't outrun/Going Rogue

The flash has started off with good first 2 episodes, but with such high quality expected of the series after the success of CW's Arrow, can the next 2 episodes match the viewer's expectations?

Guilty Pleasures #8 - Knight and Day

Can you go wrong with a movie starring Cameron Dias and Tom Cruise? This is another guilty pleasure that’s received mixed reviews from critics, with some calling it scattered and uneven, while others call it fun. But it was successful enough at the box office, gaining about double its budget back. I like this movie a lot, or at least I did when I last watched it, as I'm writing this review, it'll be the first time I've watched it in a long while. So let's dig into Knight and Day and see if it still holds up to me after 4 years.

The Flash Season 1 episodes 1-2 review - City of Heroes/The Fastest Man Alive

With the success of the CW series Arrow, it was almost inevitable we'd see more from that universe. The Flash was introduced near the mid-season finale of Arrow season 2, where we also saw the accident that inevitably turned him into the super-hero we would come to know as the Flash, Grant Gustin was chosen for the role, despite him not having Barry's iconic blonde hair from the comics. So let's take a look at the first 2 episodes of the Flash, and see if we're looking at a big hitter here.

Legend of Korra Book 4 Chapter 1 Review - After all these years

I know it's been barley any time since I've done Avatar reviews, but the Legend of Korra is back, so let's take a look at the Book 4 premier entitled: After all these years

Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion Review

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, the Republic fell to the Galactic Empire. New hopes have yet to arise, but the galaxy must never fall to despair, for the act of only a few rebels can spark major blows for the Galactic Empire

Yup, I'm not including this under the Star Wars Month banner, because I'm reviewing episodes of the show, just like I am many others at the moment. However let's take a look at the first Disney/Lucasfilm animated offering not to involve Lucas himself

Guilty Pleasures #7 - Daredevil

I don’t have too much to rage at at the moment, but let’s take a look at another film that I don’t think is as bad as critics have often thought it was, Daredevil

It’s another Guilty Pleasure from Marvel Comics, specifically this time it’s Fox division. I don't know much about the comics this is based upon, but what I do know is that the modern day Daredevil is a dark and gritty saga defined by writer Frank Miller. (Yeah, this is before everything he wrote turned to sh*t)

It was popular enough for a movie to be brought out in 2003, earning a 5.3 on Idmb, a 45% rotten tomatoes rating, and while it was profitable, it made less than $200 million, the budget for a modern day Superhero movie.

So, let's dig into the movie, and see exactly what went right, and what went wrong.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 Episode 1 review - Shadows

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1 was a mixed bag at best, so much that I got bored about 5 episodes into it, and stopped watching it. The turning point was having watched the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had done tie-ins with the movies before, but none of them had hit so close to home as Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I caught up, and there were some decent episodes of S.H.I.E.L.D. in that time, however it really started to gain momentum with the episode ‘Turn Turn Turn’ which began exploring the impacts of The Winter Soldier on S.H.I.E.L.D.  itself. The momentum continued throw and the finale was excellent, with both emotional impact on the characters, and the appearance of Nick Fury.

So, has Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s second series continued the momentum from the finale, or is it, like S.H.I.E.L.D. itself, back to square one? Let’s dig into the 2nd season premiere and find out.

Gotham Premiere Review

Apologies, this review was due on Monday but owing to laptop failure I could not upload it on that date. But, I intend to reconcile for that now, as here is the review of Gotham, from last week
